A. C. Harvey

Sci-Fi & FANTASY AUTHOR

About the Author

Ashleigh Harvey is striking out on her own! She cherishes the experience of publishing her first novel, The Immortal Game, with Macmillan, but she has too many stories in her head to wait for the industry to get them out to her readers. YA, adult, fantasy, sci-fi—she wants to write it all, and maybe even try some graphic novels!

Though she holds a bachelor’s degree in science and spends her days teaching teenagers physics, her heart has always been with storytelling. Her writing appears in several literary magazines, and a few of her pieces have won awards.

Always caught in a daydream, she feeds her muse through art, crafts, books, movies, Dungeons and Dragons, and, of course, comic-con cosplay. A world-traveling English native, she currently lives in Massachusetts with her husband, Ken, and their dog, Zuko.

The people of Elesta believe daemons are a blessing; the people of Rimmor think they’re a curse. Elestans absorb the nature spirits, gaining a mental companion and extra-human abilities. A Rimmoran with a daemon is slaughtered. The resulting tension between nations was rising; now a disease that poisons nature and daemons alike is spreading, bringing the conflict to a boiling point. Three people have their own agendas, but the resulting paths could lead their respective kingdoms to victory or defeat.

Khyro, a retired warrior-priest, seeks justice for the innocent caught in the Rimmoran king’s crusade.

Czaela, a young woman with strange origins, seeks answers to the mysterious daemon which shares her body.

Allai, one of the king’s Daemon Hunters, seeks a cure for his sister and others possessed by the daemon parasites.

The threads of their fate tangle, twist, and turn in a journey of duty, deliverance, devotion, and belief in Daemon Mark—the first of a trilogy.

THE IMMORTAL GAME

05-25-21

Galene, daughter of Poseidon, desperately wants to earn her place among the gods. But when a violent attack leaves Mount Olympus in chaos and ruins, she is accused of the crime. Banished from Olympus, Galene sets out to prove her innocence and discovers a more deadly plot—one that threatens even the oldest of Immortals.

Fortunately, she has allies who willingly join her in exile:

A lifelong friend who commands the wind.

A defiant warrior with deadly skill.

     A fire-wielder with a hero’s heart.

A mastermind who plays life like a game.

All-out war is knocking at the gates. Galene and her friends are the only ones who can tip the scales toward justice, but their choices could save Olympus from total annihilation, or be the doom of them all.

Praise for The Immortal Game

"An epic voyage full of monsters, battles, danger, and magic. Readers will be swept up in this action-packed adventure of the gods that will pit friend against friend, family against family, and love against love."

--Steven Bohls, co-author of Deathrise

"A lively, thrilling adventure with stakes higher than a Colossus and a band of characters with a bond mightier than Mount Olympus. A true joy for mavens of Ancient Greece mythos." -- Emily R. King, author of the Hundredth Queen series

Short Fiction

There is beauty in brevity. Stories under a thousand words are very difficult to pull off, but "Peekaboo" does it wonderfully in under two hundred. Mixing horror with comedy for effect, this story made me laugh out loud. This is exactly the kind of story flash-fiction was invented for.
